Here's how this business started.

A few years ago, I spent a weekend helping a close friend who had just had her first baby. She was overwhelmed — not in the dramatic, everything-is-falling-apart way, but in that quieter, heavier way that new moms know well. Gifts and baby gear had taken over every surface. There were piles everywhere that she didn't have the energy or the mental space to tackle. She was just trying to survive the new mom days, and her home wasn't helping.

I spent the weekend working through it all. By the end, the space was calm, functional, and actually made sense for her new life. And the relief on her face — the way she exhaled and said thank you like a weight had physically lifted off her — I couldn't stop thinking about it.

At the time, I was ten years into a career at Google as an Executive Business Partner and Program Manager. I was great at my job. I was trusted by senior leaders to bring order to complex situations, build systems that worked under pressure, and make people's professional lives run more smoothly. But somewhere along the way, the work had stopped feeling like enough. I was burned out, and I was quietly wondering what it would feel like to use those same skills for something that felt more personal, more human, more mine.

That weekend with my friend answered the question.

I left Google and started Refined Interiors — and I haven't looked back.


I don't just organize. I build systems that actually stick.

Some professional organizers will come in, make things look beautiful, and leave. And the space will look beautiful — for about two weeks. Then real life happens, and without the right systems underneath, it quietly unravels.

That's the problem I set out to solve when I created The Refined Method™— a proprietary 5-step organizing framework I developed from my decade of working at Google, combined with years of hands-on experience in real family homes.

The Refined Method™ is built on one core belief: a home that works shouldn't require constant effort to maintain. It should be designed around how you actually live — your rhythms, your household, your brain — so that staying organized becomes almost effortless, especially when life gets busy.
